Illustrative Plans provides a swift and accurate pictorial representation of how multiple title numbers obtained from Land Registry searches of the index map or the index of proprietors' names match the position on the ground.
When a search of the index map reveals more than five titles, Land Registry issues the results as a list of numbers without a plan. Rather than try to piece together a site plan themselves, customers can order a colour-coded plan using the latest Ordnance Survey detail and with a choice of four sizes of paper from A0 to A3.
The service is particularly useful for customers with complex development sites that often include acquisitions made over a number of years. "I will definitely be using the service on other contracts," said one satisfied real estate associate.
